When I started reading in 2001, seeing a clairvoyant was something super secret.
There was this idea that clairvoyants only worked in purple velvet curtained rooms on side streets. You know what I'm talking about: neon sign pyramid, crystal ball, the whole thing.
And that aesthetic is badass, ngl. No hate to that kind of psychic (so long as they're the real deal.) The problem with that model is that that sort of stigma and secrecy makes scamming and spiritual abuse WAYYYY more likely to happen.
Which is fucked up, because lots of people seek help from spiritual service providers. They shouldn't have to worry about the person they've called taking advantage of them.
People freaked when many spiritual service providers moved online in the '10s, but in hindsight it’s probably for the best.
It means we get to teach people how to deepen their own intuition, so they can spot the bullshit from a mile away!
We ALL have intuition. Not everybody develops theirs.
